Coolant Application Equipment

ChipBLASTER Coolant Delivery System

Effective April 1, 2021 the names of each of these models will also change. B, F or V will be the first letter of each product name. ChipBLASTER options including Chillers, Mist Collectors, Oil Removal Systems, Cyclonic Filtration and Sludge Tank remain unchanged. Additionally, an inexpensive wash wand that uses coolant to wash down the inside of a machine tool, is available for the F- and V- Series systems.

TungTurn-Jet System

The TungTurn-Jet system strategically directs the internal coolant jet exactly where it is needed, close to the cutting point on the insert rake face. This dramatically improves chip control during the machining of difficult-to-cut materials, which is not the case with conventional coolant delivery methods. Additionally, the other coolant jet is fed from the bottom to minimize flank wear for increased insert life and productivity.

1/8 NPT No Drip Internal Mix Air Atomizing Spray Nozzles

EXAIR’s new 1/8 NPT no drip internal mix air atomizing spray nozzles mix liquid and air inside the nozzle and produce a fine atomization of liquids. The new, patented no drip internal mix air atomizing spray nozzles work in the same way the company's standard atomizing nozzles do, but have the added benefit of positively stopping liquid flow when compressed air is shut off.

Fusion Coolant Systems

Conventional metalworking fluids are effective at providing cooling and lubrication during machining, but they have critics. One is Fusion Coolant Systems Inc., which offers products for supercritical CO(scCO2) as an alternative to those fluids.

JETI (Jetstream Integrated) Tooling

New additions to JETI (Jetstream Integrated) tooling from Seco Tools eliminate coolant-through tooling and connector interference that hinders grooving, parting-off and other turning operations. With interference-free internal coolant capabilities and the option to switch the underside stream channel on and off as required, these expansions to the range of MDT (Multiple-Directional Turning) X4 (grooving and parting-off) and 150.10 (parting-off) toolholders add operational stability and reliability while they improve surface finishes.

The Guardian™ Works when Other Recycling Systems Fail

Successful coolant filtration requires three components (1) particulate removal, (2) tramp-oil removal, and (3) coolant concentration control. The Guardian™ Coolant Recycling System incorporates all three elements—not just pieces—for maximum coolant life. This combination makes it the most efficient option for centralized recycling of metalworking cutting fluids. If your current process is labor intensive, requires a lot of downtime for sump maintenance, or lacks the capacity to handle all the fluid, its time for a change.

reCool for Quill Feed Drilling Units

What is the main purpose for coolant application? Of course, among many reasons, primarily it’s for the lubrication and cooling of the cutting edge and, in addition, to help facilitate chip evacuation. REGO-FIX has launched a cost-effective and efficient attachment for the application of coolant-lubrication liquids through the tool, based on an ER collet nut, which is suitable for use on SUHNER feed drilling units.

Ultrafine Coolant Filtration Systems

When grinding tools, ultrafine coolant filtration is clearly a worthwhile proposition for the tool manufacturer or regrinder: The cleaner the grinding oil is and the less often it has to be replaced, the more it will save on coolant costs, minimize waste, and reduce tool costs and machine downtimes. Filter technology, which not only cleans the grinding oils and coolants economically, but also keeps them temperature-stabilized state in the system for an extended time period, achieves measurable gains.
