For the project, they machined their respective company logos onto a coin to showcase the intricate geometries and engravings that are possible with microtooling. They used a window machining process, along with NSK America’s HES510-CAT50 electric spindle and OSG USA’s AE-LNBD-N 1 mm long-neck, ballnose endmill, to achieve an ultrafine surface finish.
