George Products Company recently announced the addition of thread measurement to its OASIS Inspection Systems.

The OASIS thread tool measures key components of thread geometry with the same speed as all other dimensions in the OASIS. Measurements include major, minor, and pitch diameters.  In addition, pitch distance, and crest and root truncation are also included.  The OASIS thread tool works on 60-degree “V” form straight threads and the tolerances can be individually set for each characteristic measured.

Dimensions can be saved in the included OASIS Inspection Report spreadsheet, imported in real-time to SPC or the thread tool can be used on the fly to quickly monitor in-process thread production.  Also, sorting threaded parts and using the OASIS to identify threads in large batches are other advantages of instantaneous thread measurement.
Founded in 1951 and located in Middletown, Del., George Products Company Inc. is the manufacturer of OASIS Inspection Systems.  OASIS’ are full-featured machine vision inspection systems designed to measure multiple profile dimensions on parts, accurate to +/- 0.0001”, with all the measurements done in less than a second.
