"The AP5 Series takes the HEM toolpaths that work very well in ferrous materials and applies them to aluminum alloys," Perry Osburn, president and CEO of IMCO Carbide Tool, said. "The special features we developed exclusively for constant engagement tool paths are achieving incredible speeds and feeds that lead to high metal-removal rates."
AP5 Series tools are available with IMCO's unique Chip Management System (CMS) to eliminate recutting and chip packing to allow deep, free cutting tool movement in aluminum. The results are great chip control and very high metal-removal rates.
