GMTA (German Machine Tools of America) represents the FIMAT line of gear and spline machine tools in North America. The highlight of the line is the RM Series of electromechanical spline rolling machines, which feature rolling slides, driven by planetary roller screws and direct drive torque motors.

No transmission gearbox or joint between the motor and screw means smoother, more precise machining with less wear on the components. Absolute encoders on the slide control are mounted directly on the screws. The machines also feature NC tail and headstock, Siemens 840Dsl CNC, standard or quick-change rack holders and fully automated, collaborative robotics or gantry manipulation, based on customer needs.
