The ActiveEdge Nexus from Rigibore includes coarse-adjustment and fine-setting capabilities, in addition to automatic cutting edge compensation in the machine tool. This design is a self-contained module added to flanges.
The ActiveEdge Nexus from Rigibore includes coarse-adjustment and fine-setting capabilities, in addition to automatic cutting edge compensation in the machine tool. This design is a self-contained module added to flanges.
It provides an automatic fine-adjustment modular solution for diameters from 275mm (10.8268") to 1,020mm (40.15748").
The module has a radio transceiver, battery compartment and contains a micron-accurate ActiveEdge cartridge.
Coarse adjustment is set manually in the toolroom.
ActiveEdge adjustments:
1. 3T Adjustment - Diameter changes are made through wireless transmission, using the 3T remote adjuster.
2. Closed-Loop Boring - Diameter changes are made without the need for operator intervention as part of a closed-loop boring system.
3. NC-PerfectBore - Integrated with metrology software products for a total automation solution to achieve perfect bores.
