Ti-Coating announces its new PVD coating Hyperlox for indexable and solid carbide tooling. The Altin-based coating provides excellent machining characteristics and extends tool life for a variety of applications including turning, threading and milling. Ideal for finishing, the wear-resistant properties of Hyperlox allow it to machine stainless steel and other materials with difficult properties. The supernitride coating also provides high oxidation resistance.

"Hyperlox is a coating that provides consistent wear resistance for stainless steel which tends to be sticky and cause edge build up", says Keith Metzinger, Sales Manager for Ti-Coating. The properties of Hyperlox reduce this tendency dramatically and contribute to longer tool life and predictable performance. The coating is one of the latest additions to the company's range of coatings.
