This Rush Machinery video offers an overview of the company's CH-CM0406 Cut-Prepoint-Chamfer Machine, which converts full length blank carbide rods into tool blanks that are ready for fluting and finishing grinding. It cuts rod blanks from 1/8" to 1-1/64" diameter to length, and can prepoint or chamfer one or both ends.

The machine also can be used for cutting only, prepointing only, or chamfering only. Rods up to 23.5" long are automatically loaded from the magazine. Up to 2 different lengths can be cut from the same rod. The cut lengths can be up to 13 inches. Angles are generated by specific wheel angles or through interpolation.

Rush Machinery will showcase the CH-CM0406 Cut-Prepoint-Chamfer Machine at the 2022 International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), being held at Chicago's McCormick Place Sept. 12 to 17. Rush Machinery can be found at Booth 237233.
