Cutting Tool Engineering is happy to announce the launch of Bourbon With The Editor, a new video podcast series featuring myself and a variety of industry experts enjoying a glass of bourbon while we discuss a range of metalworking challenges and solutions. You can listen and watch the series on our Vimeo video platform or catch the stream through one of our various social media channels.

Each podcast will be streamed live beginning at 6 p.m. on specially scheduled dates to give our audience of 100,000-plus industry professionals an opportunity to learn about new technologies and innovative applications of those technologies. At the same time, it is my hope that viewers and listeners also will appreciate learning a bit about the bourbon featured during each podcast.

If you missed the first live-streamed podcast we scheduled for 6 p.m. April 4, you can watch a recorded version of the event through our website at ctemag.com/podcasts. For those of you reading this via our digital edition, the recorded podcast will be available for viewing below. The episode features special guests from Vargus USA who share a customer’s experience using the company’s MACH TT and MACH TM solid carbide thread mills.

Why the name Bourbon With The Editor? I like bourbon. And I thought it would be entertaining for viewers to watch industry professionals sitting around a bar sipping bourbon while we discuss machining. At least more so than sitting around an office desk — without bourbon — discussing the various ways machine and tool makers can help meet the many metalworking challenges that you face.
