Ceratizit digital twin technology brings tooling and applications to life at IMTS 2026

The company’s visually driven digital twin technology will bring tooling solutions and real-world industry applications to life. Visitors can interact with Ceratizit’s Visual Twins simulation created to demonstrate complete machining processes and tooling strategies in an immersive way.

Developed jointly with ModuleWorks GmbH, the Ceratizit Visual Twin is not simply a CAD model or digital twin of a machine. The company says it is an immersive, photorealistic machining simulation that brings processes to life with flying chip visuals and authentic machine sounds. The programmed simulations will allow visitors to move from individual tooling demonstrations to complete industry applications. Guests will see Ceratizit’s SilverLine, MonsterMill ISO-S, WTX UNI, WTX Quattro, HFC and HFCD tooling applied to operations ranging from trochoidal milling and drilling to the production of oil and gas components, firearm slides, medical implants and instruments, aerospace parts and automotive components.
Dan Cope, president of the Americas, Ceratizit Group said that while the booth will be impressive to experience, the Visual Twin delivers practical value by allowing manufacturers to evaluate tooling strategies in a virtual environment. Identifying potential issues before production helps reduce scrap, avoid unnecessary tool changes and maximize machine utilization. The company’s collaboration with ModuleWorks has resulted in a powerful digital backbone supported by smart tools and automated, data-driven processes that deliver sustainable, resilient, and highly efficient solutions, he said.

Visual Twins runs on a separate PC as a standalone software application. It works on consumer-grade hardware and runs in real-time.
