Jorgensen Conveyor and Filtration Solutions has named John Powalisz as its new director of sales.

Powalisz takes over for the company’s former director of sales and marketing, Karl Kleppek, who was promoted to the position of company president and COO in November 2022.

With a career devoted exclusively to industrial sales and sales management, Powalisz has served manufacturing clients in more than 40 countries providing solutions to a number of A-list companies, including Ford, General Motors, contract captive machining companies and Tesla.

Powalisz has been a student of the sales process throughout his career and sees the position as an opportunity to learn and serve customers and prospective clients while building long-term relationships.

“I enjoy learning about customers, their manufacturing processes and their problems, and then finding ways to solve those challenges with equipment and solutions,” said Powalisz. He specializes in working with inside and outside sales teams as well as independent representatives and distributors to help customers find the most efficient and cost-effective methods to serve their markets and customers.

Prior to joining Jorgensen, Powalisz sold capital equipment solutions for the heat treatment and manufacturing industries, sampling equipment and systems for thermal power plants and oil & gas. This also included providing solutions to the food and beverage sector with companies such as JM Smuckers, ADM and Cargill. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering with continuing education certificates from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and other programs.
