Contract manufacturer Oberg Industries, Freeport, Pa., has invested in new equipment to expand its production of medium and large machined components and assemblies.

The most recent additions include a 60"-travel horizontal mill with 5-axis capability and a heavy-duty, 2-axis turning center capable of turning parts up to 120" long and 36" in diameter. Oberg's medium-to-large manufacturing equipment will be used for products such as aircraft structure and engine parts, downhole drill string components and hydraulic control assemblies.
