Exact Metrology to open new center in Moline, Illinois
Exact Metrology, a comprehensive metrology services provider, will be adding a new facility. With existing facilities in Brookfield, Wisconsin, Cincinnati and an upcoming one in Texas, the company will open a center in Moline, Illinois. The new location will open on March 1, 2020, and will be located at 4715th Street A. The need for a new space arose from the increasing number of clients in the area.

ARCH Cutting Tools names Brian Barlow as general manager – ARCH Cutting Tools Rhode Island. Barlow is responsible for the overall business and production operations at the ARCH Cutting Tools Smithfield, Rhode Island, manufacturing facility. The plant invested in a 1,000-sq.-ft. expansion/modernization in January 2019 that included new machining centers to increase capacity and reduce customer lead times.

Tooling Tech Group announces completion of TTG Automation expansion
Macomb, Michigan-based Tooling Tech Group has announced that its TTG Automation facility in Temperance, Michigan, has completed a 14,000 sq. ft. expansion, bringing the total facility size to 59,000 sq. ft. The new area includes a new five-ton overhead crane system, air compressor and overhead sprinkler system.

World’s largest hub for collaborative robots opens in Denmark
With financial backing from their joint U.S. parent company Teradyne, Mobile Industrial Robots and Universal Robots have acquired a 50,000-sq.-m building site in Odense, where $36 million will be invested in the construction of a major cobot hub in the "cobot capital" of the world. Collaborative robots – or cobots – are now the fastest growing segment of industrial automation. Cobots are a type of user-friendly robots that can work closely with humans without the need for safety guarding, enhancing both work environment and productivity.
