Siemens' new Sinumerik MC controller is a universal, open, industrial PC-based CNC system. Its optimized motion control, high-performance automation and integrated Windows 10 operating system make it a suitable control for fabrication and specialty machines, including woodworking, stone-cutting, laser and even conventional basic grinding machines. With an open operating concept, this new control system is also suitable for certain additive manufacturing, metal forming, adhesive applications, plate cutting, grinding and laser or waterjet cutting.

Camfil APC introduces the Gold Series X-Flo Package (GSXP) dust and fume collectors designed for fast, easy integration with CNC laser and plasma cutting systems. Kennametal has developed a 3D-printed stator bore tool to meet growing customer demand for lighter weight tooling solutions used to machine components for hybrid and electric vehicles. E-mobility components are typically machined on small, low-horsepower CNC machining centers that require lighter weight tooling solutions. Kennametal's 3D printed stator bore tool weighs half that of the conventionally manufactured version, while still meeting accuracy, roundness and surface finish requirements for aluminum motor body boring.
