Machine tool programmers and engineers that utilize Renishaw's GoProbe macros could save significant time and labor with the use of Mitsubishi Electric Automation Inc.'s Interactive Cycle Insertion screens on its M8 Series of CNCs. They can use the Interactive Cycle Insertion screens to integrate Renishaw GoProbe macros directly into their CNC.

Lexair Inc. is offering the Multi Mini Rhinobar, a hydrodynamic bar feeder for use with Swiss-style CNC screw machines that features a three feed tube cartridge instead of the traditional single feed tube. The Multi Mini makes multiple stock diameter indexing simple and fast by combining three feed tubes inside a single aluminum barrel.

Mitsubishi Electric Automation Inc. announces the release of the Integrated Machine Analytics (IMA) mobile app, which allows users to monitor their CNC machines through MTConnect, an open standard that allows universal connectivity. The app is designed for Mitsubishi Electric machines, but will work for any MTConnect-compliant CNC.

Columbia Marking Tools Inc. has pioneered the application development of many of the marking processes used in manufacturing today, including enhanced versions of dot-peen marking, low-stress dot-peen marking, impact marking, roll marking, laser marking and now scribe marking.

HCL Technologies announced the release of CAMWorks Version 2019, which includes Additive Manufacturing, Tolerance-Based Machining (TBM) for turn and mill/turn parts, and improvements to Technology Database (TechDB).

CGTech has introduced additive manufacturing enhancements to be released in VERICUT Version 9.0. VERICUT CNC machine simulation, verification and optimization software simulates all types of CNC machining, additive and hybrid manufacturing processes. The software operates independently, but can also be integrated with leading CAM systems.

The latest CAM simulation software release from Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence includes new and enhanced functionality giving users the ability to execute tasks for existing projects on a remote server. Based on client/server scheduler architecture, the new version of NCSIMUL's machining module includes new automation functionality that gives the user wider control of their jobs on other devices by communicating with distant servers.

FlexCNC introduces the Beam Line – the latest addition to its lineup of machining centers for large or long parts, like structural steel beam, in a single setup. With an open-bed design that measures 40-feet by 2-feet, this new model can machine parts up to 40 feet in length.

Siemens introduces Manage MyMachines, one of the MindApps within the rapidly emerging Mindsphere concept. This cloud-based "platform as a service" enables the full data tracking of machine kinematics, as well as production data, and Manage MyMachines serves as the initial point of entry into this digital world, combined with edge technology.

Coating, adhesive bonding, sealing, painting – these are just some manufacturing operations calling for profoundly clean, and sometimes activated, part surfaces. It is with these requirements in mind that Ecoclean has developed a set of new cleaning solutions. One of them combines wet chemical and low-pressure plasma cleaning in a single machine. Another innovation consists in integrating diverse applications for partial or full-surface cleaning or activation – e.g., atmospheric pressure plasma treatment, laser, CO2 snow blasting and/or surface inspection operations – into one processing system. The Model 300 mist collector filters the air on enclosed machinery to remove harmful oil mist and particulates from CNC machines, including milling and grinding processes. This unit offers a primary control solution by mounting to the machinery and filtering the mist at the source.
