Liftomatic Material Handling Inc. introduced a customized portable drum handler for C1D1 applications, the C1D1-DCM. The C1D1-DCM power drum transporter is a completely powered and self-contained handling device for lifting, lowering and moving all types of steel, plastic and fiber drums.

Many industries today, such as aerospace and automotive design, are turning to 5-axis machining to speed manufacturing processes and increase accuracy. Sandvik Coromant is set to release two new grades for interrupted hard-part turning operations: CB7125 and CB7135. Available in October 2018, the grades will complete the company's offer for hard-part turning, complementing the existing CB7105 and CB7115 grades.

INDEX has announced the release of ChipMaster, a new chip-control software that effectively manages chip formation during turning, facing, contouring and cut off operations in all materials, including soft alloys such as copper and brass. Working within the programmed machining cycle, the software allows shops to avoid stringy chips on every cut, making chip disposal less troublesome and surface finishes consistently superior.

Walter has introduced the new A60 and AG60 inserts for small to medium pitch threads. Just like the existing MX geometries (CF5 and GD8 for grooving and parting, RF5 for grooving and copy turning), the new MX geometries A60/AG60 provide long tool life, fine surface quality and process reliability. The inserts have four cutting edges.

JW Winco Inc. offers GN 927 clamping levers with eccentrical cam, in tapped type and threaded stud versions. The RoHS compliant GN 927 clamping levers with eccentrical cam are used for rapid clamping and releasing operations.
