A titanium nitride (TiN) bearing nut improves rigidity as the uniquely designed gold ring reduces collet damage, reduces micro vibration with the collet flange, and eliminates friction with the collet. It improves the cutting rigidity and the quality of the cut compared to traditional collet chucks.

Full grip jaws are manufactured for chuck sizes ranges between 4" and 10" diameters and are available in 1018 steel and 6061 aluminum. Jaw heights are available between 1" and 4". Soft jaws are available in 1018 steel and 6061 aluminum, in heights from .75" to 5.00 inches, and widths from .75 to 3.00 inches.

The TechniDrill 2.00-30-48 has a gundrilling diameter capacity of 2.0 inches (50.8 mm) and a maximum gundrilling depth of 48 inches (1219 mm). It features a 30 horsepower AC spindle motor and two-speed gearbox to provide versatile gundrilling performance.

The BIG CAPTO C3 square holders for turning applications come in left and right orientation. The turning application holders—C3-180-BH16R-2058 and C3-180-BH16L-2058—are mono-block holders. Their insert clamps are tough and reliable, adding on to the already inherently high rigidity of mono-block holders. The resulting higher rigidity minimizes vibrations and movement during cutting, improving accuracy and efficiency.

Since users are holding the part for the base, setups are dramatically reduced. Pole extensions allow users to raise the piece from the magnet surface making the top, inner and outer diameters fully machinable. This process dramatically reduces part distortion due to clamping with ZERO distortion and allowing for far more accurate part processing.

The workpiece is counter-rotated via pneumatically operated 3-jaw chucks to increase the accuracy of the gundrilled hole.

DrillForceMeister incorporates a unique head-shank coupling interface that provides exceptional reliability when drilling relatively large diameter holes from 20 millimeters to 41 millimeters. When clamped, the drill head interlocks with the shank at larger contact areas, promoting high hole precisions and qualities.

The Mega Double Power Chuck system features an expanded contact diameter of the nut to the flange, which provides the highest rigidity—as if the chuck and nut were one solid piece. This superior rigidity ensures heavy duty machining without chatter.

Standard on the #9684510 lathe are 3 and 4 jaw chucks, splash guards, chuck and tool post safety guards and inch and metric gears for threading. Like all Palmgren lathes, it is built and inspected to the DIN 8606 toolmakers precision lathe standard.

The lineup includes solid carbide grippers for high wear and high load applications. While the SofTop™ urethane grippers are available in a variety of durometers and are permanently bonded to a 300 series stainless steel pad. The non-marking, non-staining urethane provides excellent protection against damage on delicate work surfaces.

Working on 5 axes allows the use of shorter tools to increase the feeds and the cutting speed. With a machine equipped with this technology, it is easier to carry out complex operations with 5-side access to the part including: complete profiling, the undercut working, the through holes, and the creation of pockets.
