The Kanefusa single use saw blade technology is reportedly superior to other sawing concepts both in economical and environmental perspectives. The FM (Ferro Max) cold saw blades (single use) cut on average three times faster than a conventional bandsaw or metal saw, which means one machine can do the job of three, reducing power consumption, exhaust emission and mist oil in the air and floor space, all good for the environment.

With the FIGHTMAX, tool manufacturer Inovatools, based in Kinding-Haunstetten, Germany, is sending a well-trained HPC fighter into the ring to instill fear into its opponents. Kyocera Group is exhibiting a range of newly developed metalworking tools at the Japan trade show JIMTOF 2016. The new Walter Cut G1511-P grooving tool with precision coolant supply, available in 1.0 in. shank sizes, provides long tool life and high productivity, among other benefits. It is suitable for universal use, performing grooving, parting-off, recessing and face grooving with GX insert cutting widths from 0.024 to 0.250-in. (0.6 to 6.35 mm), and can perform radial and axial grooving operations without loss of stability.

As automakers strive for increasingly fuel efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles, they're turning away from traditional iron favorites such as gray and ductile iron (GCI and DCI) to compacted graphite iron, or CGI. Also known as vermiculate graphite iron, CGI's mechanical attributes meet or exceed its counterparts, sometimes drastically so.
