High performance cutting tool manufacturer M.A. Ford Mfg. Co. Inc., Davenport, Iowa, recently expanded its TuffCut® XT high performance Series 278 endmill product offering. More than 400 product line items have been added to include additional lengths of cut, corner radii and Weldon flat options.

Dormer Pramet now offers Pramet SF and SM geometries for machining of high temperature alloys and stainless steel, the company announced Jan. 27. The SF geometry features a sharp positive geometry with an inclination cutting edge of 14.5° while the SM chip-breaker is a wear-resistant, universal geometry for medium machining.

Supermill LLC's XPV series carbide endmills are for roughing and finishing titanium alloys. The XPVS series tools are for roughing and finishing steel and stainless steel alloys. The 4-flute endmills feature a full eccentric relief, sharp or radius corners, an AlCrN coating and variable helix, variable pitch and progressive rake angles.

PRAB Inc. offers a heavy-duty, open-frame steel belt conveyor designed to minimize downtime and increase worker safety. The exclusive design allows operators or maintenance personnel to quickly and easily see if carry-over has fallen between the belt. The removable guard panels to allow for easy access to the area between the belt and the bottom cover, providing quick and easy removal of scrap.

Walter has unveiled the Walter BLAXX M3024 heptagon milling cutter, the latest entry in its line of high-productivity milling tools. The M3024, in diameters from 1.5" to 6.0" (40mm to 160mm) boasts the line's trademark wear-protected black tool body, plus indexable inserts with 14 cutting edges, which reduces tooling costs.

Seco Tools LLC, Troy, Mich., introduced two new insert sizes to its family of 335.25 disc milling cutters, a line that is said to provide manufacturers with high flexibility and productivity. With the additions of XNHQ inserts in 9mm and 12mm sizes, the cutter now offers a range of cutting widths from 0.531" to 1.26" (13mm to 32mm) for an even greater variety of applications.

Scientific Cutting Tools Inc. (SCT) stocks UN thread mills for cutting from 4-40 up to 3-1/2-8, as well as NPT, BSPP and BSPT 1/16 to 2½ and up, according to the company based in Simi Valley, Calif.
