Walter USA LLC has expanded its "Tough Guys" series of high-performance solid-carbide endmills with the new Walter Prototyp Proto-max_TG (the TG stands for Tough Guys).

CoroCut QD, the reliable system from Sandvik Coromant for deep grooves and parting off with long overhangs, expands the offering of inserts and durable tools with over and under coolant.

Walter has introduced Tiger-tec Silver HU6, a round insert with a new geometry, specifically developed for medium and heavy-duty roughing of solid railroad wheels and other forged parts.

The Walter Cut grooving assortment is being expanded with the new SX parting/grooving/slot milling system. The system features toolholders with internal coolant supply, parting blades, and Blaxx system slotting mills. Each of the tools uses the same SX style inserts, available in the CE4, CF5 and CF6 geometries and Tiger•tec Silver PVD grades.

Kaiser Tool Company Inc., which demonstrates its THINBIT® face grooving product lines in a brief online video, offers thousands of options and the largest variety of solid carbide, insertable and support-blade style tools for Swiss, CNC and conventional machining. Face grooving widths start at 0.004" and increase in 0.001" increments, with standard major diameters from 0.125" and depths of cut up to 1".

Knight Carbide offers precision-ground carbide inserts for standard and custom tooling applications. When standard tooling is no longer available, Knight Carbide will manufacture an "exact" copy as a custom product that will match the "same" performance.
