GN 415 is available in three sizes between 0.87 and 1.54 inches (22 and 39 millimeters) wide, each with two spring strengths. The two available slide types and the wedge-shaped or cylindrical, rounded thrust pad not only hold parts with side pressure but also exert an additional downward force. All thrust pads can be rotated around their long axis in 90-degree steps to optimally adjust to the part geometry – this is as simple as loosening the central slide screw. The thrust pads are also available in a POM plastic version as well as in stainless steel with smooth or textured pressure pad for better grip. The latter type is produced by injection molding of metal and is therefore subject to only minimal measurement tolerances.

Used for both enlarging or finishing holes from a castings core pin condition, a major advantage of the Star Cutter core drills is that they are proven to cut straight holes that correct shifts in a cored hole location, which can occur during the casting process. These drills are also adept at preparing holes for a second pass in tight tolerance reaming, optimizing the hole size and location results.

The advanced design of YG-1's FM10 PNMU inserts separates the cutting edge and the wiper, resulting in 10 true cutting edges. Another feature – the 36⁰ entry angle – successfully generates thinner chips, providing operators higher feed capabilities. The curved cutting ridge and wiper design is engineered to reduce cutting forces and directs these forces axially along the strength of the machining center into the spindle.

The FW5 wiper geometries, with a new wiper curved cutting edge and V chip formation for short chips, can also be used on components with long overhangs thanks to the reduced cutting pressure. In addition, the MW5, with its longer cutting edge, is suitable for the highest feeds. The FW5 and MW5 are available on a variety of inserts. These new Walter geometries reduce machining time by increasing the feed by up to 300% while maintaining surface quality and can allow users to combine roughing and finishing operations using the same insert.

CeraSFeed features two unique double-sided indexable insert styles: LNXF09 and TNXN12. LNXF09 offers a 1.5mm depth of cut and 4 cutting edges. TNXN12 offers a 2.5mm depth of cut and 6 cutting edges.
