Renishaw Central is a smart-manufacturing data platform that collects, presents, and initiates accurate process and metrology data. The platform connects to measurement devices across the manufacturing process and provides valuable insights that manufacturers can use to analyze, identify, predict, and correct process errors before they occur.

As part of the partnership, the library of the machine vision software HALCON has been expanded to include data management functions. With the extension package for HALCON it is possible to build up an image database and to enrich the images with additional information such as time stamp, lot number, product number, temperature, or vibration data. The BeeYard data management platform from DataVision is then used to evaluate and analyze the image data. The cloud- or server-based platform enables customization to meet storage requirements, location-independent accessibility, cost efficiency – especially for large data volumes –, integration of a variety of other cloud-based tools and services, and high processing speed.

Version 3.50 of edgeConnector Siemens, edgeConnector 804D and edgeConnector Modbus is now compatible with the 64-bit version of ARM (Advanced RISC Machines) processors. This extends the application possibilities to devices like Raspberry Pi, Cisco IR1101, Orange Pi 5 or RevPi Connect.

Newly designed details in NCP version 4.3 offer even greater convenience when using the program. New or occasional users in particular benefit from the intuitive usability and will find design examples for each application with detailed descriptions. Handling of projects is facilitated, since the appropriate application and calculations already performed can simply be retrieved directly. By dragging files into the program, the user can easily open files and add designs.

The virtual PLC software can be easily downloaded and integrated directly into an IT environment. The intelligence acquired based upon position data provides the user with a comprehensive overview of asset tracking, material flow, order information or possible problem areas.

SINAMICS S210 offers DC link coupling on 3-phase units for increased power efficiency on multi-axis applications. Corresponding SIMOTICS highly efficient synchronous motors feature high-resolution 22- or 26-bit absolute encoders, single or multi-turn. One-cable connectivity is standard and all motors and feature IP64, IP65, IP67 or IP69X protection. Easier setup and selection are assured with the integrated EMC filter and braking resistor.

Easy setup is assured with the electronic type plate on the 1FL2 motor and one-button tunning in the S200 drive. The integrated brake resistor and integrated holding brake control add to the functions in the S200 servo-drive. High durability is designed in with the coated circuit boards (3C2) in the S200 and IP65 motors with metal connection solution. Built-in under-voltage protection is further provided.
