Saint-Gobain Abrasives offers its new Norton QUANTUM3 combination Wheels addition to the recently introduced Norton QUANTUM3 (NQ3) line of depressed-center grinding wheels. In comparison tests, NQ3 combo wheels have several key benefits over competitive wheels. NQ3 Combo Wheels have 50 percent longer life, which significantly reduces the need for wheel changes and results in decreased production downtime and less labor cost. Due to more efficient and faster cutting and grinding capabilities, the new combo wheels increase productivity by 15 percent over competitive wheels, so users can finish more pieces in less time, according to the company.

Norton | Saint-Gobain Abrasives has introduced its new Norton Die Grinder, the latest addition to the company's new professional tool line.

Chicago Pneumatic has launched two new ranges of industrial vertical grinders, the CP3330 and CP3340 series, which are expected to set a high standard in terms of productivity and operator safety. Competitive analysis carried out by the company indicates that users can remove material twice as fast using the CP3330 and 3340 series compared to similar tools on the market.

A multitask finishing machine, Palmgren's 1.5-inch two-speed vertical belt grinder can handle simple to complex workpieces. The #9682410 belt grinder can perform external, radius and internal operations with its optional attachments.

From batch sizes of 200,000, short cycle times and a long workpiece service life can drive down costs per workpiece by up to 25 percent.

Buffalo Abrasives Inc. says the B5490 is an epoxy bond that is durable and easy to use, designed to run cool, generating less heat, thus less chance of burning. The bond eliminates chatter by providing a softer, more-forgiving grinding action.

Marposs has announced the availability of its P1dWB, an entry-level grinding wheel balancing and process monitoring system. This new system is intended to replace Marposs' electronic systems E78 and E82.

Meister Abrasives says its new HPL (High Performance Lubrication) grinding wheels rely on premium-grade CBN crystals fixed with durable, porous, intrinsically lubricated bonding matrix to allow substantially faster grinding of difficult materials without sacrificing quality due to wheel loading and/or part burning.
