UNITED GRINDING has introduced a compact wheel changer for use on its WALTER HELITRONIC MINI POWER grindingnmachines and HELITRONIC DIAMOND EVOLUTION two-in-one eroding and grinding systems. The automated changer provides more setup and part processing flexibility as well as boosts overall output through continuous uninterrupted machine operation.

Gleason Corp. introduces the 200GX and 260GX threaded wheel grinding machines, its latest addition to the Genesis series. The twin-spindle concept combines maximum productivity with minimum idle and setup times. Fast, easy software-guided setup of the machine allows users to set up the GX series from one workpiece to another in 20 minutes using a single tool.

Saint-Gobain Abrasives offers a new line of centerless grinding wheels to its bonded abrasives portfolio. The Norton Century45 centerless bond platform features an exclusive chemistry that greatly improves grain retention in the wheel. Better grain retention means wheels are constructed with more porosity for a given hardness.

Weldon Solutions says its Midas pinion gear shaft OD CNC grinder features the first use of an optical gage system in an automated production environment. This system uses optics to measure multiple diameters and lengths on a large family of pinion shafts.

The latest addition to the extensive machine offering from Schneeberger, the new Aries NGP answers to the need for an affordable tool grinder with all the power of a big machine. Aries NGP offers almost 10-hp, duty-rated power with a direct-drive, double-ended spindle and the accuracy of HSK 50 wheel arbor interface.

Ideally suited for working with steel and stainless steel, the new wheels, designated CO 24 Q SG, have a hardness grade Q and excel at a variety of applications, including weld grinding, chamfering, deburring and surface grinding.
