The WHH15X grade features HIPIMS technology for excellent coating adhesion and a high degree of hardness, and AlTiN coating optimized for hard machining; this results in an extremely smooth surface for the best chip removal and high surface quality.

The advanced design of YG-1's FM10 PNMU inserts separates the cutting edge and the wiper, resulting in 10 true cutting edges. Another feature – the 36⁰ entry angle – successfully generates thinner chips, providing operators higher feed capabilities. The curved cutting ridge and wiper design is engineered to reduce cutting forces and directs these forces axially along the strength of the machining center into the spindle.

The FW5 wiper geometries, with a new wiper curved cutting edge and V chip formation for short chips, can also be used on components with long overhangs thanks to the reduced cutting pressure. In addition, the MW5, with its longer cutting edge, is suitable for the highest feeds.

CeraSFeed features two unique double-sided indexable insert styles: LNXF09 and TNXN12. LNXF09 offers a 1.5mm depth of cut and 4 cutting edges. TNXN12 offers a 2.5mm depth of cut and 6 cutting edges. Both inserts are offered in grade IN76N, a highly engineered SiAlON ceramic grade having excellent high temperature thermal shock resistance, excellent toughness, and optimal thermal conductivity. n

ISO-EcoTurn's GNMG and FNMG inserts each features a reduced nose angle of 70 degrees and 45 degrees, compared with traditional CNMG and DNMG inserts. The increased clearance on the cutting edge allows better chip flow and reduced chip re-cutting issues when face turning the wall.

The P6006 insert can perform up to 10 x Dc without the need for a pilot drill. It features a protective chamfer on the insert with HIPIMS-PVD coating, and the wear resistant WPP25 grade which leads to maximum tool life in stable conditions.

Sandvik Coromant's new turning grades are optimized with these machining challenges in mind. The introduction assortment of the S205 includes 36 items, with more to be added in spring of 2021. The Ceramic CC6165 grade is also available in a range of assortments to meet the demands of varied industries and materials.

ISO-EcoTurn inserts, while downsized for tool economy, incorporate the identical chipbreaker geometry and thickness of regular sized inserts to maintain the same cutting performance at a depth of cut up to 3.0 mm (0.12"). This expansion provides more cost efficient solutions in steel turning applications.

A thick titanium-rich PVD coating with excellent thermal stability has been developed specifically for AH62225. This coating effectively prevents crater wear from developing on the insert rake surface. The grade's top layer incorporates the latest titanium-rich nano-multilayer structure; its high-density crystal orientation enhances the grade's hardness for superior wear resistance.

This innovative insert seating substantially eliminates the tendency for vibrations, increasing insert life as well as tool holder life. The design also prevents incorrect engagement, especially for narrow insert widths, and enables an extremely high indexing accuracy.

As the most recent addition to the T-A Pro high-penetration drilling system, this insert demonstrates that the best just keeps getting better. Not only are the faster penetration rates maintained, but in using the redesigned body of the T-A Pro, maximum coolant flow and excellent rigidity are also present when utilizing the high-speed steel geometry.

The drill´s »X»-shaped pocket, and tapered seat provide stability in challenging applications while making it easy to change out the insert without disassembling the body from the holder. These key design features reduce unstable cutting conditions experienced with other drills commonly available in the market today, while enabling higher penetration rates and reducing overall machine set up times and costs.
