EXSYS Tool Inc. has introduced a new space-saving 5-axis rotary table TAP for small, high-speed vertical machining centers. The table TAP allows users to upgrade a vertical machining center to significantly increase productivity without incurring the expense of a new machine, according to the company.

Doosan Machine Tools announces the addition of the DMP 500/2SP to its line of vertical machining centers. Equipped with two spindles and two automatic-tool-change (ATC) systems, this new model was designed for production job shops and high-volume parts manufacturers.

Palmgren says its cold saw is ideal for very precise, burr-free cuts in low- and high-carbon steels and medium-gauge tubes and profiles. Its pivot head design permits fast, accurate miter cuts and is ideally suited for low- to medium-volume product cutting applications.

The ABS 325 L from Knuth Machine Tools USA Inc. is a fully automatic bandsaw. According to the company, it provides enhanced automation, fast cutting action and less downtime.

Parker Steel Co. offers a large supply of metric-sized metals, ideal for applications where pre-sized metric parts are needed. Parker Steel's cold-finished carbon steel, alloyed and high-strength stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass and tool steel bars/shafting, tubing, sheets and plates, angles, channels and tees; and other specialty shapes can be shipped out the same day as ordered with few exceptions.

A saw and track system for accurately cutting pressure vessels up to 60" in diameter in preparation for hydrostatic testing and complete fabrication is being introduced by Esco Tool. The Esco APS-438 Air Powered Saw and WrapTrack trolley lets operators rapidly cold cut vessels from 6" to 60" in diameter with ±1/16" accuracy to permit better bevels for subsequent welding.

Small job shops struggling with the budget, programming and space requirements of traditional welding robots now have an alternative solution: The new SnapWeld Collaborative Robot Welding package developed by ARC Specialties Inc. and Universal Robots is a cobot-assisted, interactive welding system that can be deployed easily and flexibly in existing, manual welding booths, eliminating the need for costly new robotic cells.

TigerStop has announced the addition of AutoLoader automatic infeed station, an integration for the TigerSaw 2000 saw system. With the AutoLoader, an operator can load five pieces of material at a time, reducing material handling and increasing operator capacity for performing value-added tasks, such as sorting finished parts.

SawGear, the portable, automatic lineal cutting system made by TigerStop, has added a more robust leg structure to its optional jobsite tables. The new table legs provide increased stability.

The Bosch GCB10-5 Deep Cut bandsaw is the easy-to-handle tool to deliver low-spark, clean cuts in rebar, conduit and other metals. These precise cuts require limited rework because the 10-amp saw is powerful enough to handle professional-sized jobs on most materials.

Controx-Neuhauser solid-carbide blades are available in widths from 0.005" and width tolerances of 0.0002", are suitable for precision cutting applications like dicing semiconductors, such as surface mounted-devices (SMD) resistor chips. They feature tight diameter tolerance within one set of blades, which allows them to cut through the chips and into but not through foil of the wafer.
