All Mega ER holders are now sold without a standard clamping nut so that customers can choose the best clamping nut option for their needs.

BENZ Inc. has introduced a new product called NanoFix, a modular quick-change system for Swiss lathe live and static tools applications. The BENZ NanoFix modular quick-change system is designed for Swiss-type tooling with a minimum spindle distance of 22 mm and makes it simple to change tools inside the Swiss lathe in as little as 15 seconds.

The ASR1300 high-speed, direct-drive rotary stage from Aerotech Inc. achieves accelerations of up to 8,000 rad/s2 and reaches speeds greater than 1,500 rpm in only 90° of travel, making it suitable for demanding tube-handling applications and high-throughput manufacturing processes.

Somma Tool Co. announces the development of a broach toolholder that is reportedly uniquely interchangeable among any style of ER collet chuck. The compact, adjustment-free, offset, rotary broach toolholder will thread to an existing ER (16, 20, 25 and 32) collet chuck and features a built-in 1-degree wobble cutting edge for offset rotary broaching.

Fives introduces the next product out of its ID/OD line-up to the market. The Landis-Bryant UL2 is an internal high-speed production grinder, ideal for processing bores, faces and contours of bearing rings, valve lifters, gears, universal joint cups and CVJ components, especially suitable for machining workpieces with an external diameter of up to 177 mm.

EXSYS Tool's 90-degree Skiving Drilling and Milling Head not only provides angled drilling and milling capabilities on turning centers, but also enables the machines to perform gear skiving operations. The new head cuts gear patterns faster than conventional gear shaping or broaching methods and generates both internal and external gears with helical profiles, as well as gears close to part shoulders without interference.

When machining requires high-speed performance, Troyke's direct-drive spindles deliver precision and control. Direct motor-to-spindle connection eliminates any chance for gear error, allowing for a high degree of accuracy.

RÖHM Products of America now offers a powered external clamping chuck for gear surface face grinding. The KZF-S collet chuck is especially well-suited for clamping gears/workpieces that have an external plane or gear teeth geometries accessible from the outside.

The PGU 9500 automatic clamping unit is the newest member of REGO-FIX Tool Corp.'s well-established powRgrip family of toolholding. The system is smaller in size, ergonomic, energy efficient and practically maintenance free.

BIG KAISER has launched the HMCJ, a super-slim milling chuck with peripheral coolant supply, designed to support heavy-duty and finish endmilling tasks with power and precision using Ø1/2" or Ø12mm cutters. The newest, slimmer member of the Hi-Power Milling Chuck (HMC) family features a clamping bore with fine slots surrounded by hundreds of needle bearings, which ensures concentric, precise and smooth clamping when the nut is tightened.
