Three years ago, SCHUNK launched the slim hydraulic expansion toolholder TENDO Slim 4ax, which received great attention. Its precision mounting combines the outside geometry of heat shrinking mountings according to DIN 69882-8 with the proven qualities of SCHUNK hydraulic expansion technology. SCHUNK now launches a version with cool-flow technology that allows for highly effective cooling via tool mountings.

Emuge Corp. has expanded its line of FPC milling/drilling chucks products to include Slim Line models that are designed to enhance 5-axis machining productivity and versatility. THINBIT, manufactured by Kaiser Tool Co. Inc., introduces a new toolholder option that takes advantage of the full line of inserts for grooving, threading, face grooving and custom applications. The heavy-duty round reversible toolholder presets an insert parallel to the centerline of the shank and can be used as either right or left hand.
