Mitsubishi Materials announces an expansion to the GY series with its GY-PSC type holders.

To maximize the full benefit of recent advances in machine tool designs, Chevin Tools Inc. has developed a new range of boring bar, turning and blade toolholders (parting and grooving applications). Delivering high-pressure coolant directly through the cutting tip of static tools enables significant improvements in cutting efficiency and improves production.

Soft jaw blanks from Dillon Jaws feature a milled surface on the jaw end, opposite to the clamping surface, which serves as an easy-locating feature. This datum serves as a location point for positioning the counter-bored holes and the jaws' serrations resulting in exact dimensional matching of Dillon jaw sets.

Exsys Tool Inc., which is the exclusive supplier of pL LEHMANN rotary tables for North America, recently announced the expansion of its ultra-high precision products to include the pL LEHMANN swissClamp modular clamping system, according to the San Antonio, Fla.-based company.

Heimatec announces immediate availability of BMT (Base Mount Tooling) standard products. In addition to standard X- and Z-axis tools, styles such as adjustable tools, speed increasers and internal coolant tools with capabilities to 140 bar (2,000 psi) are available in an assortment of standard BMT tooling types, including BMT 45, 55, 65 and 75.

Briney Tooling Systems worked closely with a manufacturer to develop a special dual-contact, CAT 50, stick turning toolholder for an Okuma MacTurn 550 mill/turn center. The customer had some special turning stick tools that were 1.5-inches square and there was no standard for the lathe stick tools.
