40 P Plasma Cutter

The Forney 40 P Plasma Cutter is the ideal choice for heavy-duty cutting. This machine is capable of dual-voltage, allowing users to work wherever 120V and 230V power is available. The 20’ torch included with this unit allows great reach and a large working envelope for maximum convenience and comfort.

This machine also features internal air pressure control, ensuring correct pressure every time. This powerful unit cuts up to 5/8” on mild steel and stainless steel, and up to 1/2” on aluminum.

Additional features of the Forney 40 P Plasma Cutter include:

  • Rubber top tool mat for an organized workspace and easy access to tools
  • Two durable handles for increased portability
  • Functional side hooks that act as an equipment dock to easily store attachments and tools
  • Feedback knobs so the user can feel their settings as they make changes
  • Ability to clean cut and sever mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum and copper

The Forney 40 P Plasma Cutter was launched with three other machines: The Forney 220 Stick/TIG Welder, Forney 220 Multi-Process Welder and the Forney 220 AC/DC TIG Welder. Each of these machines are backed by a three-year warranty, and Forney’s "Developed, Tested, Trusted" promise.

Developed - Forney engineers examine every detail to develop products that are intuitive, reliable and function as expected. This machine encompasses several innovative features such as an integrated rubber mat for tool storage, legs that double as a torch hanger, easy-to-operate controls, and longer power cables and torches for a larger working area. While these features are important, the company also designed and engineered these machines with exceptional arc characteristics that ensure an extraordinary welding and cutting performance.

Tested – The printed circuit board and its assembly are all done in P.R.C., but our technicians assemble the machine with parts consisting of sheet metal, aluminum die cast parts, aluminum extrusion handles and knobs that are manufactured in the U.S. Forney technicians thoroughly test and document every machine for safety, reliability and functionality before neatly packaging and verifying the contents.

Trusted – When you buy a Forney machine, you have a direct line to technicians and engineers that operate the company's “Expert-Tech” service line. If you have product or application questions, you can call 800-521-6038 and speak to a product expert. If Forney can’t solve your problem over the phone, you can use one of its Warranty Service Center partners or let us take care of the shipping fee and send it back to Fort Collins, Colorado, to get your machine fixed quickly. The company turns 99% of machine repairs around in 24 hours.
