The Tiger Mill Scale wheel from Weiler Abrasives is an abrasive product designed to quickly and efficiently remove mill scale from hot-rolled carbon steel. This new addition to the Tiger portfolio provides a targeted solution for industries such as shipbuilding, pressure vessel manufacturing, and metal fabrication, where heavy mill scale removal is critical for weld preparation.Tiger Mill Scale wheels feature a circular studded design that aggressively cuts through thick scale and prevents loading or glazing. The type 29 curved shape increases the contact area of the wheel, maximizing material removal rates, improving operator comfort and deterring gouging. In addition, the Tiger 2.0 bond formulation provides long wheel life while the zirconia alumina grains deliver a high cut rate for the entire life of the wheel. The Tiger Mill Scale wheel is available with a 5/8-11 quick connect hub in 4-1/2”, 5” and 6” diameters.
