The ISOTurn CF and CB PCD-tipped inserts from Ingersoll Cutting Tools are engineered to improve chip control when machining non‑ferrous materials.

Long, stringy chips are a common challenge in aluminum and other non‑ferrous applications, often leading to machine interruptions, compromised surface finishes, and lost productivity.
Ingersoll’s new chipbreakers solutions are designed to keep chips short and manageable, allowing manufacturers to run more efficiently and with greater confidence.

The CF chipbreaker is purpose‑built for finishing operations, delivering reliable chip control even at extremely light depths of cut as low as 0.004″. This capability makes it ideal for high‑precision finishing, where stable cutting conditions and superior surface quality are critical.

For medium to roughing applications, the CB chipbreaker incorporates a serrated cutting edge that reduces cutting forces while maximizing resistance to edge chipping, resulting in longer tool life and more consistent performance in demanding conditions.

Both chipbreaker styles are laser‑etched into PCD‑tipped inserts manufactured in Ingersoll’s proven TD1020 grade. This advanced PCD material provides an excellent balance of wear resistance and toughness, enabling a single solution to cover a wide range of non‑ferrous machining applications.
