CP3330 and CP3340 Series Industrial Vertical Grinders

Chicago Pneumatic has launched two new ranges of industrial vertical grinders, the CP3330 and CP3340 series, which are expected to set a high standard in terms of productivity and operator safety. Competitive analysis carried out by the company indicates that users can remove material twice as fast using the CP3330 and 3340 series compared to similar tools on the market.

The CP3330 and CP3340 series are ideal for various applications in metal-working, fabrication, foundries and casting plants, shipbuilding and oil and gas applications. Equipped with powerful governed motors, 3.7 hp for CP3330 and 4.5 hp for CP3340, the new industrial grinders can achieve an enhanced material-removal rate and reduce completion times.

To maximize operator safety, these next generation industrial vertical grinders feature a unique over speed shut-off device that reduces the risks of abrasive-related incidents caused by air pressure fluctuations (above 90 PSI or 6.3 bar). In the unlikely event of overpressure, this device stops the tool, preventing the abrasive from over-speeding and causing possible accidents. Other safety features include a high resistance protective wheel guard (1” thick) and a streamlined safety lever which is easy to use while wearing heavy gloves. All models in the CP3330 and CP3340 series comply with ANSI safety regulations.

The CP3330 and CP3340 industrial vertical grinders are available with 7” and 9” abrasive grinding and cutting wheels and 6” cup wheels; offering users a suitable grinder for each application. There are models ideally suited to contouring, deburring, cutting, finishing and weld cleaning of different materials such as cast iron, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, composite, magnesium and titanium.

“The CP3330 and CP3340 series are a welcome addition to our proven portfolio of industrial tools,” says Joël Draelants, global business development manager industrial at Chicago Pneumatic. “Focused initially on the needs of the North American markets and compatible ANSI markets, these new industrial grinders offer our customers the high levels of quality, robustness, durability and ergonomics they have come to expect from Chicago Pneumatic, with the added assurance of best in class performance.”
