e8-c153 z-a SIC Dot Marker

October 13, 2012

The New e8-c153 z-a SIC Dot Marker from SIC Marking delivers high precision consistent part marking aided by the Autosense function, making it ideal for the most demanding applications for both data matrix codes and human readable text. It offers a large marking window of 160mm x 100mm.

The tungsten carbide stylus assembly equipped with an "Autosense feature" enables the marking head to descend automatically to the part whereby the stylus will touch the component and then back off a preprogrammed distance to ensure consistent marking depth. This negates the need for a manual z axis height adjustment. Stepped components can also be marked automatically as well as marking inside recesses and the software can be set up to abort the marking cycle if a component isn't sensed. The quality of marking that can be achieved with the autosense feature meets the needs of datamatrix marking and is fast becoming a pre requisite in aerospace part marking, meeting the latest standards.

With even faster marking speeds it can handle up to 3,000 parts per day. The proven e8 controller provides versatility for user-interface through manual data input, by scanning bar codes for error-proof data entry and through host computer interface. The friendly free Windows software allows files to be copied and backed up. Files can also be created on a PC and downloaded to the controller or the controller can be run directly from the PC utilising the graphical display. Logos can also be imported and created using the free Windows software. Optional software allows database connectivity. Both software programs are Windows XP and Windows 7, 64-Bit compatible. The c153 z-a features improved operator visibility with new high brightness LED lighting under the marking head to illuminate the component to assist setup. The robust construction and cast base assures a long life in demanding industrial environments.

Available accessories and options include the newly designed Box Enclosure with a light curtain to optimize user safety. Among the standard options a rotary axis for marking around circumferences for components up to 35kg as standard and tag feeders for high volume nameplate marking. Custom fixtures can be provided.

The SIC range of Dot Markers supplied by SIC Marking also include an entry level benchtop system, hand held portable machines, scribe marking and systems for production line integration.
