Gi-360 Sorting Machine Software Update

October 13, 2012

General Inspection LLC (Gi) has released an update to their software for the Gi-360 sorting machine. This new 360-degree Virtual Tilt virtually corrects for the cosine error as a result of the relationship of the head to the shank and length of the part as it slides down the V-Track. This allows for more accurate images of the part to catch smaller defects and measure more features. This new feature is not available on any other sorting machine, according to the company. All new Gi-360's will have this new software feature standard and current customers can call to schedule their upgrade.
