GN 581

J.W. Winco Inc., a supplier of standard industrial machine components, announced it now offers series GN 581 swivel lifting eye bolts. These RoHS-compliant eye bolts come in metric sizes. The ring is forged and annealed steel with a special bright pink powder coated finish that changes color to indicate exposure to high temperatures. The threaded socket head bolt is of European standard 10.9-grade steel, and the hex key cover plate is zinc-plated steel. These eye bolts offer a high load carrying capacity and are tested to meet high safety standards, permitting the use of smaller mounting bolts than required for DIN 580 lifting eye bolts. Unlike DIN 580, they are mounted in a bearing and can be rotated. The ring can be positioned in the direction of the load to make use of its optimum strength. The special cap screw cannot be removed from the ring.
