Ingersoll Rand has released a new line of M2 Series grinders and sanders to complete heavy-duty cutting, polishing and cleaning applications in less time. M2 Series tools are engineered with a durable 1-hp speed-governed motor to help operators complete surface material removal projects faster and easier. The lubricant-free design allows the motor to run cooler, which increases its life expectancy, and for longer time periods between maintenance so users spend less time servicing their tools.
Designed with productivity in mind, the M2 Series grinders have spindle locks that enable users to change accessories quickly. Many surface prep products require operators to use a tool to adjust the guards, but the M2 Series has a multi-positional guard that can be changed to four different settings without using a tool to reduce downtime.
M2 Series grinders and sanders are available in 27 different models, with a variety of speed ratings and guard sizes to provide flexible solutions for multiple jobs. The grinders are available in straight and angle configurations to access tight spaces and curved surfaces, and the versatile sanders accept many types of attachments on their threaded arbors. As a result, the M2 Series has a surface preparation tool for finishing, sanding, material removal, metal and pipe cutting, de-burring and edge finishing, and weld cleaning and smoothing jobs.
"We understand that our customers take a great deal of pride in their work, and they rely on their surface preparation tools to complete jobs faster and easier," said Adrienne Greene, industrial segment leader, Ingersoll Rand. "M2 Series tools provide reliable, low maintenance solutions so customers can increase their productivity time and spend less time servicing their tools."
