The biosynthetic blend is transparent to allow visibility during cutting operations. Formulated with natural and synthetic esters, it reduces smoke and mist while providing extreme pressure (EP) and antiwear protection. Non-staining to yellow metals, Bio-SynXtra is ideal for ferrous and non-ferrous alloys.
Renewable Lubricants metalworking fluids are readily biodegradable, non-toxic, and not bioaccumulative, and contain no active sulfur, chlorine, zinc, phosphorus, silicon or heavy metals, so it is safer for the environment and employees, the company says.
Compliant with EPA VGL EAL guidelines, it exceeds US EPA and US Fish & Wildlife Service acute toxicity standards. Stabilized HOBS Technology provides enhances oxidative, thermal, and cold flow stability.
Also available in other formulations including Bio-Syntra, which offers lower EP performance at a more economical cost; and Bio-SynXtra™ LV – a low viscosity version for high-precision applications.
Bio-SynXtra has many approvals and specifications including OECD 301B Readily Biodegradable; ASTM D-5864 Ultimately biodegradation within 28 days (Pw1); EPA Vessel General Permit (VGP) compliant – Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants (EALs). Exceeds LC-50/EC-50 > 1000 ppm toxicity threshold. Covered by numerous US Patents.
It is available in 1-gallon containers, and 5-gallon pails.
