Yamazen Inc. announces the U.S. debut and distribution of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (MHI) series of table-type horizontal boring mills, known as the "MAF-E Series." The MAF150E features a boring spindle diameter of 150mm and an 800mm extendable spindle stroke, the longest among the same class for medium-size workpiece machining, thus expanding the range of medium-size workpieces, according to the company. The new characteristics achieve high-speed, high-accuracy machining through structural rigidity.
The main spindle features motor outputs of 30kW, a spindle rotation speed of 3,000rpm and a feed rate of 15m per minute. The MAF-E Series was developed in order to achieve proficient machining of medium-size workpieces cost-effectively, a task commonly accomplished using expensive floor-type machines.
