Northfield Precision Instrument Corp. introduces its Model 1000 Sliding Jaw air chuck. This air chuck, with 0.0001" TIR, has a special top tooling and axial locator. This particular air chuck was custom designed for a gaging company that needed to grip a small area of a large casting so they could check OD runout of their part.

Special, tall top jaws are diamond-coated for a secure grip on the casting. An axial locator with button pads is used as a resting surface for the part's flange while swallowing the rest of the part.
