The HiPACS drilling and countersinking system can be utilized on all machines typically used for aerospace applications. In less stable conditions such as robot end effectors, the diamond coated carbide drills offer excellent tool life and hole quality. PCD-tipped drills, on the other hand, excel in stable conditions such as gantry machines.

The tribo plain bearings made of high-strength filament fabric are used where very high loads occur. As more shops seek the benefits of a single setup, multiaxis cutting strategy, Mastercam 2022 adds new techniques and strategies such as the Unified Multiaxis toolpath which allows you to select multiple pieces of input geometry to generate the toolpath pattern. Using those geometry choices, the toolpath picks the best algorithm to calculate the path. Multi-pass on Deburr toolpaths supports flat chamfered and rounded edges which gives the user added flexibility, allowing the Deburr toolpath to create a quality surface finish on larger chamfered or radiused edges.n

EcoShrink takes both the beginning and the end of the shrink wrap product life cycle into account. EcoShrink is sourced from certified commercially compostable resins and contains 45% biopolymers. After use, EcoShrink can be disposed of in a commercial composting environment to reduce the amount of plastic packaging that normally ends up in a landfill.* EcoShrink is shelf and curb stable and will retain its integrity until disposed of properly.

An electric actuator, the Type KR-RL offers several advantages over pneumatic types. "Where a pneumatic gripper simply provides an open and close function, the Type KR-RL offers precise force control," stated Kinoshita. Gripping force can be regulated according to the fragility of the object being transferred. Speed control, a longer life through the incorporation of heat-treated steel, and energy savings are additional benefits.

The diamond coating portfolio covers the entire spectrum of demanding machining applications and is divided into two groups of different base materials. The first contains coatings for machining highly abrasive compacted and sintered powders like graphite for moulds and dies, as well as ceramics for dental applications. Sandvik Coromant's new turning grades are optimized with these machining challenges in mind. The introduction assortment of the S205 includes 36 items, with more to be added in spring of 2021. The Ceramic CC6165 grade is also available in a range of assortments to meet the demands of varied industries and materials.

The identification label, which is pre-marked by InfoSight, is a transparent Gorilla Glass disk. InfoSight recommends countersinking the label into a shallow machined pocket so the surface of the component remains level. After severe abrasion, wiping the label with a liquid which matches the glass index of refraction restores its clarity.

The patented spindle technology ensures continuous high precision. By its design, the cutting tool shank serves as the spindle shaft. As the result, the dynamic run-out is 4 microns or better. The CNC video measurement system "NEXIV" can automatically measure the dimensions of component features using Nikon's world renowned optical and image processing technology. By analyzing the captured image of a component, detecting feature edges at high speed, both accurately and with repeatably, it is possible to quickly measure components with simple and complex features.
