EcoAir® 325 Tool & Die Rust Preventative has proved to be a great development for molders. This ready- to-use vegetable oil/solvent-based liquid is packaged in EcoAir® spray cans that rely on compressed air rather than traditional aerosol propellants. It is easy to atomize over a large surface area such as the interior of a plastic injection mold or die. Unlike other mold savers that have a reputation for clogging mold pores and must be cleaned off before use, EcoAir® 325 Tool & Die Rust Preventative does not have to be removed. This makes it extremely easy to bring a mold out of shipping or storage and put into use immediately.

The MunchMan uses primary and secondary belts installed at the lower curve and through the incline and chip discharge areas of the system. These belts run in unison to grab chips, compress them and carry them securely up steep inclines. This design eliminates the risk of conveyor jams that can occur when chip balls tumble at the lower curve or jam in the conveyor incline section.

Each lightweight KCI 1319 / KBI 1335 encoder includes a 25 mm hollow shaft and inductive scanning technology that makes it insensitive to contamination and magnetic fields. The encoder communicates using the high speed EnDat 2.2 interface which also allows for additional information, such as temperature or diagnostics, to be communicated as well.

Speeders improve surface finish and reduce cycle times when machining small holes and soft materials, without lengthy acceleration ramps. The closed-loop linear slide uses an optical position sensor with sub nanometer resolution and a voice coil linear motor to allow vertical (or horizontal) travel up to 7mm with a velocity up to 200mm/sec (8"/sec) for fast accurate scanning. Guided by low friction cross-roller bearings, this low-profile linear slide delivers long lasting performance in high duty cycle industrial applications. Ease-of-use is built in with a user-adjustable counterbalance, (e.g. for heavy, large NA microscope objective lenses up to 1kg in vertical applications) and hard stop adjustability to limit the travel range.

Moreover, thanks to the unification of HALCON's different shape matching methods into a single set of operators, users can now integrate new shape-matching-related features more easily.

In addition to the microSD card, the solution includes the 'iShield Camera Card Tool' (iCCT) software, which is a free download from the Swissbit website. With iCCT, the card's security settings are activated via the computer before it is used for the first time. The user PIN is also set here. The card is then ready to deploy and will reliably capture all recorded camera data. iShield Camera supports Loop Recording, where a camera deletes the oldest recordings to make room for new data.n

The speed and precision of the OptoFlash enables 100+ static measurements on parts up to 60mm in length and 20 mm in diameter within two seconds at U95 = 1 µm + D/200 (D in mm) with the ability to switch from one-part type to another with just one click (flexible gauge). It captures images of the component over the 360° degrees, automatically combining several images to determine both part optical axis and measurements of the features.n
