TwinCAT 3 automation software can communicate with HTTP(S) servers as an HTTP(S) client, for example for exchanging data via a REST API. Establishing a connection with MindSphere® is now also possible via this HTTPS communication for exchanging telemetry data. This connection is secured by TLS (Transport Layer Security) and uses MindSphere®-specific authentication mechanisms.

VolCut combines the benefits of the modularity of the Wohlhaupter MVS connection with Allied Machine and Engineering's large diameter holemaking solution. This time-saving combination offers increased material removal and excellent chip control at greater depths for large diameter applications - even on underpowered machines. The VolCut insert holder is stocked for quick delivery with bore diameters ranging from 2.559" – 128.149" (65mm – 3255mm). Its unique designincorporates serrations designated to connect seamlessly with Wohlhaupter's Twin Cutter and AluLine boring systems.

The new GN 8170 stainless steel indexing plungers are intended for use in areas requiring sanitary equipment. They are available in lock-out or non-lock out types with a sealing lock nut that creates a totally hygienic version or without a sealing lock nut.n

The Lynx 2600SY is designed with a rigid bed structure and incorporates roller type LM guides for all axes. The maximum turning diameter is 14.9" and the maximum turning length is 24", and the main spindle incorporates a 10" chuck while the sub-spindle handles either a 6- or 8-inch chuck size. The main spindle has a speed of 3,500 r/min (25HP) while the sub-spindle turns at 4,500 r/min (15HP), making quick work of complex parts. The Y-axis travel is 4.13", and a 12 station servo-driven BMT tool turret with a half index feature (24 positions) is standard.

On average, thanks to the new 15kW laser, the cutting speed of the ByStar Fiber increases by up to 50 percent (when cutting with nitrogen) compared to a 10kW laser source. This means that sheet metal processing companies can benefit from higher productivity with relatively low unit costs. The 15kW laser output now also enables extended applications in stainless steel and aluminum up to 1.5 inch thick and thus offers maximum flexibility for customer orders.

The VC-Ez Series begins with Mazak's introduction of the VC-Ez 20, and soon will include both smaller and larger machines, the VC-Ez 16 and VC-Ez 26. All VC-Ez Series machines sport C-frame designs with X and Y axis motion via moving tables and saddles. For rigidity and repeatable part precision, guideway systems use Mazak's high-rigidity MX linear roller guide systems, and pre-tensioned ball screws ensure precise axis movement.

Models within the new turning machine series include the QT-Ez 8, QT-Ez 10 and QT- Ez 12 each offered in 2-axis, M, MY and MSY versions. M versions include milling capability, MY machines feature milling and Y-axis off-centerline capability and MSY machines are a combination of both milling and Y axis capability paired with second turning spindles for complete DONE IN ONE® part processing. For further increased productivity and unmanned operations, the machines seamlessly integrate with bar feeders and robots.

The most prominent feature of the MAZATROL SmoothEz CNC is its 15" capacitive touch-screen display, which accommodates a full-width on-screen keyboard or up to 60 lines of code. The NC system operates on two 800 MHz CPUs with an expanded 512 MB of DDR3-SDRAM memory. In addition to its redesigned LAUNCHER screen, the new control also has an expanded range of software features, including SMOOTH Machining Configuration, QUICK MAZATROL, and MAZATROL TWINS that were recently debuted on Mazak's highly advanced MAZATROL SmoothAi CNC.n

By optimizing FANUC CNCs with Mastercam's new post processor, machine tools will be able to produce parts, modeled in the CAD system, more precisely.

The Series 22 combines both high-speed and high-precision processing for complete production of even large high-precision components. Featuring two workpiece-changing table variants, part capacities are generous - the 4-axis trunnion plate version handles 680 mm x 1,330 mm dia., up to 600 kg; and the twin-spindle 5-axis version handles 2 x 599 mm x 340 mm dia., up to 150 kg.n

With the PS device series, Beckhoff offers high-quality power supplies for almost all applications in both the 24 and 48 V DC range, including motion control applications with stringent requirements for handling back EMF (electromagnetic force). Excellent convection, minimized power loss and high efficiency of up to 96.3% optimize the service life and reliability of the devices. The peak power capability of up to 150% makes it possible to provide up to 1.44 kW output power for short periods of time.

The ELM72xx modules' metal housings provide optimum heat dissipation even at high output power as well as optimal shielding against electrical interference. The new servo terminals can connect directly to other EtherCAT Terminals as an integrated component of the Beckhoff I/O system. The comprehensive functionality includes the direct connection of the motor, feedback and brake via the convenient connector front end, an integrated absolute value interface and One Cable Technology (OCT).
