Astorino

At the core of Astorino is a 1kg payload, 6-axis robot with a structure and programming environment nearly identical to that of a Kawasaki industrial robot. Weighing only 12 kg and powered by a 110V outlet, the robot is adoptable to any classroom environment. The body of the hex head style (CTH) is made from a Grade 8 fastener (metric 10.9) steel with a black oxide finish. The round head type (AG) is made from heat-treated alloy steel with black oxide finish. The tool steel threaded style (HS) is made from M-2 high speed steel and hardened to Rc 55/58 with black oxide finish. The carbide-tipped threaded style (PG) is made from heat-treated alloy steel with black oxide finish.

Norton NORaX N889 belts feature an engineered, high-performance micron-grade aluminum oxide grain structured in a fine 3D pyramid pattern which is especially well suited for lower pressure (0-8 PSI) applications where belt flexibility is needed. Paradur Ti Plus and Prototex TiNi Plus Taps

The Paradur® Ti Plus taps are for threading blind holes with a geometry specially developed for machining titanium alloys with a tensile strength of at least 700 N/mm2 using emulsion instead of oil. The Prototex® TiNi Plus tap is effective for through-hole threading. CUT S 400 Dedicated

For faster, easier cleaning, the casting of the CUT 400 S Dedicated is designed so that tank water constantly runs down the interior sides of the work envelope, keeping them wet and preventing EDM residue from drying and hardening. This sticky residue also plays havoc with an EDM's filter and drive systems. To prevent the residue from making its way inside these systems, water also constantly circulates through the new machine's upper and lower heads.
