Ceramic cartridge rolls feature self-sharpening grains which continually produce fresh cutting points which easily cut through stainless and alloys. Self-sharpening grains also reduce friction and prolong cut rates. Additional grinding aid further reduces heat for extended wear and reduced downtime. Multiple layers wear away to expose fresh abrasive material, further extending service life.

These three Duratomic grades feature innovations based on world-leading coating chemistry developments adapted to manufacturers' application needs. In addition to offering superior mechanical and thermal properties, this coating also provides the chrome-colored Used-Edge Detection technology, which makes every edge count and reduces potential waste.

The standard parts specialist JW Winco introduces the new Lift and Turn Compression Latch for holding doors, covers and hatches closed. It is operated in two steps with an ergonomic, powder-coated T-handle in black or gray. When folding the T-handle in or out, a stroke of 5 mm is initiated on the rotating latch to generate the required pressure against a door seal. In the folded-out position, the T-handle can be turned to the left or right side, moving the rotating latch 90° behind the cover or door, allowing it to be opened. The rotating latch can be flexibly adjusted for frames between 13 and 75 mm thick, depending on the application. The two-stage movement secures the closure against vibration.

The mill is best suited to machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous material and materials with difficult cutting properties. This wide range of uses results in lower tooling and administrative costs, as does the fact that its 90° approach angle dramatically decreases the need for finishing operations. Walter Tiger·tec cutting tool materials, the high number of teeth, and small indexable inserts also makes it ideal for workpieces with small machining allowances.n

With the measurement of compressed and non-corrosive gases, it reliably displays three parameters at once by measuring the flow, pressure, and temperature. In doing so, it saves the customer money through improved energy management with the reliable detection of leaks. This new flow sensor is also very lightweight and compact, making it ideal for installation in tight spaces.n

Weather- and UV-resistant, BigRep's new ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) material is a robust, engineering-grade filament with high mechanical resistance, low shrinkage and superior layer adhesion, while also showing a greater heat resistance than even ABS.

The HS flex heavy handling system is designed to be adaptable to five-axis PERFORMANCE-LINE machining centers (C 400 and C 650) as well as the HIGH-PERFORMANCE-LINE models (C 32 and C 42). This also marks the first time that the C 650 is available with automation capabilities. n

DrillMeister incorporates a unique self-locking interface that enables simple and secure drill head exchange. Since drill heads can be replaced without having to remove the drill body from the spindle, tool setup time can significantly be reduced, eliminating presetting, offset, and touch-off of the replaced tool.

TungTurn-Jet toolholders deliver coolant strategically to the optimum position close to the cutting point of the insert. This significantly improves chip control when machining exotic materials that are prone to smearing by effectively breaking the chips into pieces and guiding them away from the cut, which was difficult using a traditional external coolant nozzle method. Additionally, TungTurn-Jet features a second coolant outlet from the insert clearance side which not only improves chip control but also helps minimize flank wear for increased insert life and productivity. n

Designed for FlexMove conveyors, the Dry Cleaning Module provides continuous cleaning of conveyor chain for applications involving powder, dust and other dry contaminates, whereas the Wet Cleaning Module, which are designed for FlexMove stainless steel conveyors, provides uninterrupted cleaning of conveyor chain for applications with liquid, product overfill or package breakage.n

NCSIMUL virtually builds the real-life machining environment to avoid errors, decrease set-up times and switch CNC programs between machines. nnThe 2021 release features a new comparison mode that detects excessive material during a fast and hidden simulation. It shows a solid comparison between the CAD/CAM models or previous cut stock and the NCSIMUL simulated model. n
