The latest release of Vero Software's WorkNC high-performance CAD/CAM solution for machining complex geometries is said to be the next step on its quality journey. Brand Manager Miguel Johann says the new and enhanced functionality in WorkNC 2018 R2 keeps users at the cutting edge of technology.

Tests on the new nesting engine unveiled in Alphacam 2018 R2, by Vero Software, show a 17 percent improvement in material yield. The new F-712.PM1 high-speed optical power meter from PI (Physik Instrumente) converts optical signals and currents of photodiodes into a high resolution, logarithmic analog voltage signal.
