Mitsui Seiki says its new Vertex 100 5-axis vertical machining center is engineered to fulfill manufacturers' demands for a compact, high-speed machine capable of high-precision milling of larger parts such as blisks for aircraft engines. The Vertex 100 can machine workpieces 1,250 mm in diameter and 850 mm tall while occupying only 3 m x 4.2 m of shop floor space.

Camfil APC has designed its Farr Gold Series industrial dust collectors to remove hazardous and nuisance dusts from factories while occupying the smallest possible floor space. Mahr Inc. announced that it has expanded its OPTIMAR 100, which is for testing dial and digital indicators, test indicators and dial comparators, with image processing for the automated testing of measuring equipment. A new upgrade kit now makes working with the measuring instrument safer and faster: a camera automatically records the indicated values of the test indicators and forwards them to a software for processing. The automated procedure saves time and replaces the exhausting and error-prone reading by the operator.
