ARNO Werkzeuge USA announced it has reintroduced the H.B. Rouse brand of American-made, carbide cutting tools and inserts. Formerly sold and marketed under the Arno-Rouse name, the company has reintroduced Rouse as a stand-alone product offering under its original brand name: H.B. Rouse.

A safe energy supply with highly dynamic cable travel is particularly important for machines with confined spaces. Therefore, igus has developed the small-sized E2.10 energy chain from the E2.1 series. The e-chain has an inner height of only one centimeter and an outer height of one and a half centimeters, making it suitable for the smallest of spaces.

The Carbodeon/Tiamet 3D filaments are based on a jointly patented technology, which significantly improves the mechanical and thermal properties of 3D printed items.

The new WCK10 ceramic cutting grade from Walter is optimized for roughing gray cast iron at high cutting speeds, with either continuous or interrupted cutting. Marposs Corp. has announced the availability of its new Brankamp CMS-02 stand-alone system for collision monitoring and crash damage mitigation in machine tools. The system employs a ceramic strain sensor to detect irregularities in the production process by measuring elastic deformation in the range of 0.1 microns, and both slow and dynamically increasing forces which have damage potential.

FlexDrill CNC introduces the TRD family of vertical machining centers, which drills, mills, taps and bevels large or long parts in a single setup. Alternately, the long open bed, coupled with the movable safety light curtain, allows multiple setups, so that while the TRD is machining one part, another is being loaded (or offloaded).

Doosan Machine Tools announces that its PUMA SMX super multitasking turning centers are now available with a lower turret for enhanced versatility and productivity. The turret will be available on both the 10" chuck (PUMA SMX2600ST) and 12" chuck (PUMA SMX3100ST) models.
