On Robot is bringing its technology to North America to provide manufacturers with more user-friendly, safe and flexible grippers for collaborative robots (cobots). On Robot's two-finger RG2 grippers—available in both single and dual versions—mount on the arms of cobots without any external wires; for robots that have infinite rotation of the last joint, this enables unprecedented flexibility and productivity, according to the company.

Dorner's flexible-chain conveyor platform, SmartFlex, is now available in an 85 mm width standard option. With this addition, SmartFlex Conveyors are now available in 4 standard widths: 65 mm (2.6"), 85 mm (3.3"), 105 mm (4.1") and 150 mm (5.9").

MP Systems offers a new variable-volume, high-pressure coolant system (HPCS), the Model VR8. The VR8 is part of MP Systems' new Variable Volume VR series. The VR series is engineered to be durable and energy efficient. It also allows users to take full advantage of the flexibility and range of capabilities found in today's sophisticated machine tools.

In its continuing effort to help manufacturers leverage Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) opportunities to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs, Mitsubishi Electric Automation Inc. introduces an MTConnect adapter to facilitate shop floor monitoring. MTConnect is an open standard that allows the sharing of a common language between machines and other electrical equipment from various manufacturers.

The new SORALUCE PXG-W was presented at the company's production plant from Jan. 30 to 3 Feb. 3. In the course of the week, numerous customers were able to visit the assembly and testing facilities and technology center to see at first hand the technical characteristics of the machine and the advantages and benefits that it can bring them.

A 1 kW (average power) pulsed fiber laser from Coherent | Rofin offers a high beam quality for this power level, thus enabling high throughput, precision ablation for a variety of industrial and solar applications. Specifically, the FP 010 delivers a maximum pulse energy of 100 mJ, at pulse widths between 10 ns and 100 ns, and with repetition rates ranging from 10 kHz to 30 kHz.

HEIDENHAIN updates its successful angle kit encoder line again by modifying the ECA 4000 angle ring encoder series for use in safety-related applications. Of notable use in machine tools where dangerous conditions exist, this new ECA 4410 encoder is also useful in many automation applications such as in robotic arms for example.

EXAIR's Model 1004SS, M4 NPT back blow air nozzle delivers a small, effective airflow for blowing debris and liquids from small pipe or hose inside diameters, channel, bores, holes, internal threads and other internal part features. An array of holes provide a forceful 360 degree airflow to clear out coolant, chips and light oils from machining processes.

Amada Miyachi America announces the release of four new higher power models to the LF series family of fiber laser welders. The addition of the new models will address thicker materials or increase processing speed for a given application.

Thomson Industries Inc. offers users of its industry leading PC series precision linear actuators an optional, pre-mounted and pre-tested servomotor. Bundling linear actuators with servomotors simplifies ordering, reduces the need for additional validation after installation, increases reliability, and reduces the total cost of owning and operating an actuator system, according to the company.

Rockford Systems LLC has introduced a new cable and push-button e-stop (emergency stop) assembly featuring a unique cam operation for faster positive stopping of metal working machines, yet is immune to nuisance tripping due to vibrations.
