All Sensors Corp. has announced a brand new low-pressure sensor, the BLC series. This new device series offers design engineers excellent performance over pressure ranges of ±1 inH2O through ±30 inH2O and 15 PSIA. The BLC series basic low-pressure compact sensor is based on All Sensors' CoBeam2 technology.

Saint-Gobain Abrasives has introduced CarbonForce, a new lightweight line of vitrified CBN wheels for OD grinding. With proprietary high-strength carbon fiber cores, CarbonForce wheels are 75 percent lighter than heavier steel-hubbed wheels and provide the safety and performance-enhancing benefits of a precision superabrasive wheel, according to the company.

Kennametal Inc. says the bending moment of KM4X is substantially higher than any tooling interface available on the market, superior even to Kennametal's own KM design. Kennametal has announced the KM4X tooling family has gained a 63 mm sibling, one aimed at a broader machine tool platform and, therefore, greater availability to the machining community.

DoForce-Tri from Tungaloy America accepts a double-sided insert with six cutting edges. Three types of inserts are available to meet the needs of many different jobs: a standard wiper insert with an MJ chipbreaker on true 90-degree cutting edges or with an NMJ chipbreaker on serrated cutting edges, as well as a radius insert with an MJ chipbreaker on large round corners for edge toughness instead of wipers.

J.W. Winco Inc. offers GN 421.12 metric size, technopolymer plastic, hollow knurled knobs with a stainless steel threaded stud and swivel thrust pad. TM Robotics, in partnership with Toshiba Machine, announced the newest in Toshiba Machine's BA Cartesian series, the BAIII. Unlike most Cartesian suppliers, the Toshiba Machine solution is a plug-and-play offering as all cables, junction boxes, brackets, motors and controllers are supplied with the actuators. This means there's no need for calibration between the motor and the actuator or between the motor and the controller, which enables users to reduce their engineering costs – saving both time and money – and use the BAIII as soon as it's installed.

A new vision system from Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH is based on the triangulation method, which reportedly improves bin picking by ensuring greater accuracy, better component recognition and faster handling. The smart removal of workpieces from a random arrangement, so-called "bin picking," is a classic automation application. It provides higher productivity, less burden on human resources and lower unit labor costs.

Tungaloy Corp. announces the expansion of DrillMeister, a head-changeable drill series. The drill body line is now expanded to L/D=12 in addition to the existing L/D=8 range.
